The Valle del Jerte picota cherry has started this year the European program (REA) to be promoted in the United Kingdom under the campaign “Pick a Picota from Europe” with Opera Global Business as executing agency.

This campaign, subsidized by the European Research Executive Agency (REA), aims, in addition to reaching more consumers, to show the traditional, healthy and sustainable harvesting methods used by the main European producer, Valle del Jerte, and to inform the British consumer about the unique characteristics and benefits of the picota cherry.

Among the various actions developed within the program, is the participation in the Fruit Attraction 2021 fair, one of the most important international fairs in the fruit and vegetable sector. From October 5 to 7, all international visitors and professionals from the sector were able to visit the Pick a Picota from Europe stand to learn about all the benefits and characteristics of this delicious fruit.

Taking advantage of the XXII edition of the International Fair of Frozen Seafood Products Conxemar, the consultancy has carried out the organization of a reverse mission of international buyers, in order to promote fishery products and support Galician SMEs in the sector internationally.

The meetings took place between October 5 and 7 at the Conxemar fairgrounds, where a total of 40 Galician companies had the opportunity to meet with international buyers from Italy, Poland, France, Holland and Belgium.

The professionals invited to the reverse mission also had the opportunity to visit during the 3 days of celebration, the 489 exhibitors of the Conxemar Fair, being the first fair of the sector to be held in person after the break for the Covid-19 reaching a total of 22,000 visitors from 95 countries.

Opera Global Business resumes face-to-face promotion of European wine in Asia

Opera Global Business takes up the initiative of face-to-face promotion in Asia of the wine sector, as the implementation agency of the European program “European Garnacha / Grenache Quality Wines from France and Spain”. In the period of global recovery that many countries are carrying out after the pandemic, the large Asian economies have left room for the return of large exhibition points in face-to-face format, such as trade fairs. In this sense, Opera has implemented two trade fairs with direct impact in two major Asian capitals: Wine & Gourmet Japan, in Tokyo from April 21 to 23, and Topwine China, in Beijing from June 1 to 3. Between both fairs, the data confirm that the face-to-face promotion has a new place, with more than 37,000 attendees in total. During both events, Opera Global Business also implemented two seminars (masterclass) and two dinners with local sommeliers, combining synergies to promote the European wine sector, which were very successful and well received by the attendees. During all the events, special emphasis was placed on promoting European quality wine, certified under the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) and DO (Denomination of Origin) quality seals.

This activity, which is found inside the promotional programme of European beef “ What a wonderful European Beef” in Hong Kong, consisted of a total of 14 online b2b meetings with Hong Kong import companies of beef meat and the personin charge of PROVACUNO. The main objective of the action was to boost European and Spanish beef export to Hong Kong and to make the European product known to the key actors of the market.
